Perform a manual backup

  1. Open the Backup Assistant app on your device.

Schedule Daily Recurring Backups

  1. Open the Backup Assistant app on your device.
  2. Select Options and select Schedule. Or for some devices, select Recurring Sync.
  3. Select one of the time options:

  4. An automatic backup will only occur if there have been changes to your device’s address book since your last backup.

Restore Contacts

To Restore Contacts:

  1. Open Backup Assistant on your new device.
  2. Enter your PIN when asked, and click OK or Restore.

Your new device will then sync with the Backup Assistant server. Any contacts on the server will transfer to your device, and any new contacts on your device will be backed up to the server.

  1. Navigate: Apps Settings.
  2. Under Accounts, tap Backup Assistant Plus (Media).
  3. Deselect only the following options: Pictures, Videos, Music, Documents.
  4. Selected when a checkmark is present.
  5. Contacts must remain selected.

Step 1

Locate the Backup Assistant application on your Verizon Wireless cell phone. If you do not have the application on your phone’s menu, you can download it from your phone’s “Get it Now” application. Instructions for the Get it Now the application is provided on the Verizon Wireless website for your specific phone.

Step 2

Open your Backup Assistant on your phone and click “Backup Now.” Your contacts are automatically backed up to your Verizon Wireless account when you press that button.

View and edit your contacts on your computer by logging into your Verizon Wireless account and clicking on the “Backup Assistant” link on your account overview page.
